i recently got a blemed NFA Glock style lower.  i assembled the lower and i do not have an upper or any other parts.  when testing the safety and trigger/hammer reset, the hammer will fall, but if i hold the trigger the hammer get caught on the disconnect and won't release the hammer unless i release the trigger then the hammer *pops* into position.  i am using a standard mil-spec FCG and an ambi safety.

how can i fix this problem?

Unless you're not describing things very well, that is not a problem. That is how the disconnector is supposed to function. The disconnector holds the hammer until the trigger is released, resetting it for the next shot.

i release the trigger and the disconnector and hammer hang together.  it doesn't function right.  i'm going to see if i can film it tomorrow and post it to youtube.

i just found this ARCOM thread... link

looks like i'll have to play with it tomorrow and look at a few things that thread mentions....

It sounds like you need to time your disconnect  (trim nose)
You could also try a different disconnect.
(Note if you don't fully understand the operation go see your local professional)

Good luck

Well....why don't you get an actual upper on there, take it to the range, and shoot it.

Because at this point, you don't really know if you do actually have a problem yet.

And don't be grinding on the trigger parts or do anything else (except verifying it was assembled correctly) until you do get an upper and fire it.

i almost forgot to update this thread.....

basically the stock trigger group i was using is not good.  i replaced it with a LaRue and it works flawless now.  i put the old trigger group in the TAC and guess what, it doesn't work.  looks like that trigger group is trash.  so everything is all good!
