Was going to ask in Optics forum but I think this is more a AR22 question.

What AR22 scope is working out for you on a semi precision build?

I tried a 2-7x33 because I liked the size and thought it would have enough power and it did not have enough horsepower for my old eyes.
I am thinking a good crisp clear 3-9x40 would do it for me, again trying to keep it somewhat compact.

I looked through a Vortex Diamondback and liked what I saw but it did not have an adjustable objective.

Any suggestions on a scope with fine enough cross hairs for a 22, that is not too large/heavy, bright and crisp and not big money.

Unicorn?

Thanks

I understand about the eye sight and I really like 2.5-10 scopes a little more than 3-9.  A Friend has a Bushnell 3-12X40 Sweet 22 scope with AO and I have a sweet 17 3-12 AO on my Savage Mark II 17 HMR.  For the price I really like the Sweet 17 and if I needed another 22 rimfire scope I'd probably buy a Sweet 22.

I really like Leupold and Vortex optics and have looked at the Diamondback scopes and will probably buy one for my centerfire AR.

I put this Leupold on my AR22 but it's only a 2x7.  I do believe they make something a bit bigger but I'd have to do a little looking to find out. As far as the one I have, it's very clear and gathers light very well.  I'd have no reservations about buying a more powerful model.
PS: has cross hair reticle too

ETA: I found this on Optic Planet site         Model: Leupold VX-2 3-9x33mm Rimfire Rifle Scope, EFR, Matte, Fine Duplex 110827  $399.??

I got one of these for my accurized 10/22 but haven't mounted it yet. Cheap at ~$200.

I'm going to try out a Bushnell 6-18x50 on my dedicated 22 upper. Got the scope for 65.

My eyes are getting tired too.

I was told by a local scope company that they will be introducing a 5-25x50, all Japanese made in May. Company is called Riton.

I'm happy to sacrifice scope size for magnification, even on an AR.  To me its just not worth it to sacrifice magnification.  3-9 min, 4-16 preferred for me on a a .22.  Side parallax adjustment is very, very nice to have too.

I have a cheap red dot on a QD mount, and a 3-9 on another, and that suits me well.  I'd rather have more magnification but that's where I landed.

I think you made and excellent choice with 18x mag!
