[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 9mm build problem

So I am putting together a 9mm AR. I ordered a Matrix upper today form Joe Bob's and a 5" barrel from ADCO. The plan was to use a DD Lite 7" that I already have. Problem is, my Octane doesn't fit under it, it doesn't fit under the MI that I have either.

Are there any handguards that it will fit under or do I have to get something shorter? If so what are some options?

Samson Evolution rails are available at a reasonable price and have an 1.56 ID.

Not into the Samson. So far I am looking at the Seekins MCSR and Spikes BAR. I'm not sure what will work with this upper though. I've read there are issues with some rails anti-rotation tabs.

Aero Precision and older YHM style rails are plenty wide.

The ALG rails are also, I just need to find out what will work with the Matrix upper.
