I have an Anderson lower with a CMMG upper.  The lower has an old Bushmaster trigger with a couple thousand rounds.  It's well broken in, but is there any other cheap triggers I can put in it's place to improve the trigger?

This is just a cheap blaster.  I have a cheap PA red dot on it with the original handguards.  I haven't even splurged for the Magpuls.

ALG ACT comes to mind.

I wouldn't go with a lighter hammer spring due to possible problems with primer ignition. Also, a standard hammer spring will help slow down your bolt speed slightly vs. a lighter spring(which is good, less port pop suppressed).

I've got a Velovity trigger in mine.
Nice and crisp, very short reset.
Look in the EE, there is a guy that sells em for $125.

Mine is a trainer for 3 gun.  So I put a Hiperfire 24C in it to match my 3 gun rifle.  After switching to the Hiperfire I saw an elimination of light strikes.  Seems the 24C made it a lot more reliable.

FWIW, I have had light strikes with both the Velocity and CMC triggers, both excellent triggers though. Never with the ALG.

Greetings,

FWIW, I have an RRA NM 2 stage in my .22AR. Not my first choice (Geislee SSA/E was, however, it was not compatible with my upper/bolt combo), but it worked and as I already had it installed in a different lower,  I just swapped them. I think they (RRA) go on sale now and then and have seen them in the EE at a pretty reasonable price. It's a decent trigger, not up to "G" standard, but a huge improvement of any standard ".mil" type. I don't feel any need to change it out of my AR22 now that I'm used to it and it functions 100%. Good luck!

Regards, Jim
