This is a standard problem.  Mine does it as well.  There is a FAQ on their website that talks about the LRBHO.  If following that doesn't work, I know a guy who ground a little bit of the metal off and it seems to work better now.  I don't think I'll be doing that, but it's a possibility.  Perhaps Rudy from Macon Armory has some insight on this?  Otherwise, it's pretty much a known issue and very few seem to be able to get it to work.

I have this lower. I have the best luck with the ETS mags. You could also try extra power mag springs.

Mine isn't 100%. I don't mind, but some mags work better than others.

They can be finicky.....best advice I have is to trim the portion that touches the mag where it fits in the cutout in the follower.....and if you have the new type that just lays under the bolt catch....bend it up a little at a time until it catches. I have had success with using the standard bolt catch spring...but have trimmed 2 or 3 coils of it.....
It can be frustrating.....but it is just a balancing act.....just have to screw with it.

Just reread your post OP...if it is catching sometime....just bend the piece that fits under the catch up a little.....that
should get you working....

I trimmed about 1.5 coils off the bolt catch spring and put Wolffe extra power springs in my mags. So far it's been 100% holding open after the last round.

I bought 4 brand new glock mags and 3 of them work..............replaced the springs in 3 mags I had with Wolff extra power springs and the LRBO works fine................

be careful with extra power springs.......they can place more load on the mag catch/notch interface.....and as the Mag catch is aluminum......it can wear the mag body in the long term....

Greetings,

Do you know if you have the "new" type of lever for the LRBHO? If you can search back in the archives, I posted photos showing the difference between them. Using the one that came with my lower (DDLES at the time), no matter how I tweeked it or the spring,  I could never get consistent function. After installing the new one, 100%. Check into that with CQ10, they may be able to tell you which version your lower has. Good luck!

Regards, Jim

Ok so thanks for the info where do you find the archives listing on this

The "new" type is just flat where it fits under the bolt catch....the "old" has a turned up area with a hole that fits around the nose of the bolt catch.....

Ok just checked it is flat so it is the new type now what to do

I just bend the flat up a little.....did you install their weaker spring under the bolt catch?
On several I have cut the tab that contacts the mag to fit the cutout in the follower

Yes used the spring and cut it twice will try and bend the flat area up not sure which part in the mag area you are trimming

not trimming the mag....just making sure the piece of the lever that contacts the mag follower fits in the little divot in the follower.
