Has anyone tried adding weight to a regular carbine buffer to bring it up to weight for a 9mm? I am thinking about drilling out the one I got with my stock kit and adding some lead to it until the weight comes up to 11 ounces, then removing lead until it functions correctly.

Anyone have any thoughts? I have never taken a buffer apart so not quite sure what I would be getting myself into yet.

The whole point is not buying another buffer if I don't have to. If need be, I would probably go with the ST-9x. Thanks though, hadnt seen that option before
