I have a QC Colt lower inbound to change things up on an older CMMG 9mm that I own. I'm looking at changing to either a 5" or 7" barrel in the near future to most likely run suppressed, Blitzkrieg offers two buffer/spring combo's, the "Blitzkrieg 9mm Hydraulic Buffer/Spring Combo - Pistol/SBR " and the " AR-15 9mm AKTIVE Buffer/Spring Combo - PISTOL/SBR". I plan on giving one of the two a try and just from casual reading on their site I'm leaning toward the Hydraulic version, is there a preference on either one especially with a suppressor?

I have both Aktive & Blitz Hydro, I love them both, butt the nod goes to the Hydro, smoothest 9mm buffer I've ever used , cuts recoil impulse to nada, Also MGI has a mechanical buffer that works great as well. I run the active and Blitz with 308 Sprinco carbine springs(orange marked) one with 16" barrel pre ban colt, the other my own build with 11" barrel. I shoot 95gr-158gr loads including +p and +p+. No failures and no need to change springs for different loads.

Thanks for the response, nice to get input from someone that has experience with both. Time to drop some coin and I can always play with the springs if needed.

Running suppressed you may need to I'm not sure since I don't have a suppressor yet, but so far those set-ups have worked with everything I've used even HP's.
good luck with it.
