Does anyone know a place that does custom 22LR barrels? |
|
What length and how custom are you looking for. Shorter barrels shoot straighter with a 1:9" twist, It at least
puts more spin on the bullet than 1:16". I've used this for 4" through 8". 4" keeps most ammo except hyper velocity sub sonic.. Works great with a suppressor. Talk to me I may be able to hook you up with someone. Been testing 22's for 8 years.. Dave |

I guess I should have put more information in the original post.
I am looking for two barrels. 1. 16ish bull with a precision crown of some type. Maybe fluted depending on weight. 2. something in the 4 to 6 range threaded for my Specra II. I would rather not buy something longer, and then have to take it to someone else to get everything else done. The standard 1:16 twist should be fine. I am not shooting anything to heavy. Quoted:

The best bull barrel I've ever fired was through Spikes Tactical, 1:16 bull barrel wasn't 16" but 18". Don't know if they are having them made any more but if they are 16" should be possible. Lothar Walther Blank and Ballistic Advantage made them. My post number 1125 on this page starts it.

I can hit steel @75 no problem. |

Clint is an awesome guy to deal with and he makes great barrels. I have his dedicated .22LR 18" bull barrel. It's a great shooter. One of my favorite rifles to shoot too. As others have said, .22LR are a lot of fun. |
