Today I was doing some target shooting with my CMMG .22 upper and had a FTF. After a repeat I dropped the mag and out fell a piece of the firing pin. The thin section that slides through the bolt face snapped off. The upper has more than 500, but less than 1000 rounds through it, so needless to say I was a little flabbergasted.
Has anyone else had this happen? Would it be worthwhile to hit CMMG up about getting a new firing pin, or are there better options? ETA: I called CMMG today, and the nice gentleman on the phone informed me that they would send me a couple replacements under warranty. Excellent customer service. |
