I am worrking on a 9mm build. I am in NJ and I need to find a muzzle brake/comp for the rifle. It can not be aflash hider due to the fact that I l ive in NJ. I will also have to permenantly install this. Any recommendations ( aside from leaving NJ...lol) will be appreciated. Thanks!

On the other hand, why do you "need" any muzzle device on a 9mm?  For looks, or for function?

The barrel in the lower I want to get comes with a flash hider. I have to swap it out and permanently install the replacement.

I just have smooth thread protectors on 9 mm and .45 ACP 16" barrels.  One could pin and weld a thread protector on.  Thread protector is probably less costly than a comp.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

I'd go with something like a pinned/welded thread protector as well.  A real comp or brake will only make the other people shooting on the line with you angry at you - even for a 9mm, they cause a LOT of backblast and excessive noise.  And you certainly don't need a muzzle device to help control a 9mm carbine.
