What drop-in trigger groups work with & don't work with SBR 9mm and SBR 22LR?

Thanks in advance!!

That you're looking for parts for an SBR isn't a factor.  It's really about whether the 9mm or .22 bolts interact correctly with the hammer in whatever trigger group you have. Any trigger package whose hammer face looks pretty much like a GI hammer's face should work.   In general, I like to steer people away from the "9mm hammer" part - it is a solution in search of a problem, and it tends to make plenty of problems!  Notched hammers give people fits with 9's and .22's because the notch likes to catch in places it shouldn't.

I haven't tried a variety of triggers to say "this one works" or "this one doesn't work," but those guidelines should help you narrow down what to look for.

Greetings,

Well, I can't give any broad based suggestions, just those that I've tried.

With my DDLES Glock mag 9mm lower, I used a Gieslee SSA/E with no issues. BTW, my bolt (Rock River) WAS ramped and cut for the Glock mags. For initial testing purposes before I installed that FCG, I tried a standard "mil" set that also worked fine.

In my 22LR ARs:  FIrst, a Spikes upper worked with Gieslee SSA just fine. Same lower, but with a DPMS bull barrel upper would NOT work AT ALL with that FCG. It would work with a standard "mil" type unit. I ended up switching in a RockRiver 2 stage and that does work with the DPMS upper.

That's my total experience with pistol calliber ARs and different FGGs. Hope it helps some.

Regards, Jim

Timney Skeleton 3lb trigger works well with my CMMG Bolt/TACCOM FLW Barrel/TACCOM Collar.

Thanks guys!!

I just listed barrel lengths & suppressed to give all info in case it mattered.

I have a couple CMC 3.5# Flat drop-in triggers that I really like on a couple of LMT 10.5" SBR that I shoot both suppressed & unsuppressed with out any problems. CMC told me their drop-ins are about 40% with 9mm uppers? I could either take one of my triggers out and put in my 9mm lower, or take my 9mm block out and put it in one of my 5.56 lowers to see how it worked...but I'm kinda lazy and didn't want to do all the switching?? So I thought I'd just ask what triggers people had good & bad luck with?

CMC did say they had my back if I wanted to try their trigger with the 9mm, and if I wasn't happy they'd buy it back.

My argold trigger doesn't work with the ramped carrier and I've heard people having problems with Geisele with ramped carriers too

A 6.5" CMMG .22lr dedicated upper works fine with my SSA.  I don't have a 9mm upper, so I can't comment on that combo.  SSA also works fine with .223 uppers, short and long, 6.8 carbine upper, and 7.62x39 short upper.
