I bought a conversion kit from the EE and the seller said that the kit had TACCOM reliability kit components, Pin and extractor. Upon receiving the the conversion I broke it down and took a look at the reliability kit. It seems that the only noticeable difference is the that extractor has an area shaved down so the claw can go further.  Is this something the seller did or is this what makes the extractor enhanced?

You also should have a different firing pin. Mine has a red hue and had a beveled out nitch for the firing pin retaining pin. It also has a longer "pin" portion.

The pin is definitely different. Its just the extractor that looks like someone took a dremel to it. What I wanted to know was, is that what makes it different?

Yep! More "claw" power...

Better extraction due to a different angle. Hardened steel.
Longer, tougher firing pin. Better hits.
If you also got the Pressure Plug, use it. It keeps the BCG from moving which can cause light strikes and feed problems.

I shot 2 AR's today at a new to me range. One had an old CMMG Stainless Bolt,
the other had a newer CMMG S/S Bolt but with TACCOM's Reliability Kit. Huge
difference. I was giving the ammo that didn't go bang to my Buddy Kevin to
shot. The angled firing pin didn't miss a beat in his AR-22 Pistol. It fired every
round 100% compared around 80% that went bang in mine. I have firing pins
but didn't bring any so I gave up and shot his pistol. TACCOM's reliability kit
is a must have....

Do the reliability kits fit in all brands of conversion or dedicated 22 upper bolts?

Does this kit help with live round extraction in a Spike's ST-22 dedicated upper?
