SubSonic .22lr > Rimfire and Pistol Calibers

I just got a CMMG Bravo kit for my AR15. Are there any issue running subsonic ammo in them?

Depends on your definition of subsonic and which it is.

I run CCI Standards all day in my kit (suppressed and unsuppressed) and it works fine. Always runs as subsonic for me.

Haven't tried regular subs yet (like Remington Subsonic, which is shit for the most part anyway).

CCI Standards work great in both of ours. Anything less than standard Velocity (below 1050) I think will be problematic. Ours is very quiet with the SVs..

I've never had an issue with Subsonic ammo. I actually run a fair bit of Winchester Subs, CCI Subs, Fiocchi Subs, and Aguila Subs thru mine with no issue.

CCI Quite will not cycle.

All other subsonics I tried work great...well...except that Remington CRAP. Gem-tech subsonics is my prefered subsonic ammo, CCI SV comes in a close second, and CCI Subsonic a close third on my prefered list.

So what is the lowest FPS stuff you guys are getting to cycle? I would not think anything much below Standard Velocity is going to work..

Just for the heck of it I tried one of those CCI CBs at like 735 FPS and it did not even move the Bolt at all. It was very quiet though..

With some of it you may get more reliability with a can or thruster of some sort.

CCI standard velocity runs like butter in my .22 upper. I just tried out aguila subsonic for the first time today (yellow box stuff) and unfortunately sometimes it cycles, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes it goes bang, other times it needs a second strike. To run through a 25 round mag took me 25 minutes... yeah, I'll stick with the CCI for now on that runs without a hiccup.

I have a box of remington subs coming, and I'm crossing my fingers that they are better than the golden turds.

Rem subs will gum up my feed ramp in less than 15 rounds.

I run the cci standards as well. Their is only a 20fps difference between the cci subs and standards.

I also use Aguila Match Rifle ammo (gold/black box), it performs just about identical to CCI Standards (both in sound and accuracy). Price when I bought it was about the same as CCI Standard.
