If I put a red dot on a 15-22.. what zero are you guys using?  50 meter? 25 meter?  What kind of drop off am I going to get with 22lr out to 100 meters with those zeroes?

None right now, my 15-22 is off for repair.  My BSA sweet is zero'd at 50 on rugers.

Never used either one, just looked them up. Try them out. But I have my Rem. 597 zeroed at 50 yds.

Drop at 100 will also depend on your ammo.

In my Savage bolt gun, I had it zeroed at 50yds with CCI Standard.  It seemed to drop almost a foot when I went out to 100yds.  With HV ammo you will probably have a little less of a drop.

I say 50 though is a good zero for 22lr, depending on your use of the gun of course.

That is what makes the 17 HMR such a sweet rimfire round - it can reach out to 200 yards.

Then again - no free lunch because it sure does get pushed around by the wind.

It is like a little needle.

50y zero here.  My guns drop about 7" from 50 to 100y (and dropping fast beyond 100y)

Ammo and scope height affect your exact drop at 100.

50 yard Zero with 36gr. HP. Drops 6 1/2" at 100yds.

50 yards is fine for .22s and pistol caliber carbines.
You're not going to shoot the moon with it.
