Quick question, I have found a used upper for a decent price. My question - is the barrel parkerized underneath the FSB? I plan on taking that off and putting a 12" rail on it. Thanks.

I bought the unit with the railed gas block. The block had 3 (I think it was 3, I'd have to go look at the spare parts drawer to verify) Allen screws, and parked under the gas block. It was *not* the L/W barrel though, so I guess I wasted your time.  |
