Has anyone used the CMMG .22 conversion kit? I have a chance to purchase one for $200.00. Is that a good price and are they any good?

Thanks,

Decent price to get one in hand now.  They sell for about that much new if you look at Brownells.com.

yes and price is fair. I do have to keep well lubed and mine is a little picky on which rounds it likes. Have not used in a while to recall which ones it likes and which ones it does not.

i bought a used one for $120.00
Never had any issues with it.
Shoots best with round nose bullets.  Federal 525 pack.
Makes for a fun plinker

I use the Federal rounds too, the 525 pack from Walmart. No problems.

Price sucks you can do better. I was in a local gun shop
this sat. and they had a CMMG kit on the wall for $159.00
I gave less than $120.00 for mine just over a year ago
shipped. $200.00 is bending you over bad.

Right now that's a good new price, before the scare that would be a high price if you weren't getting the stainless steel version.

I've used their dedicated upper and its been great!

I got mine when it first came out 4-5 years ago and it still shoots great.  I've always just used the Federal bulk packs (red or white Match) from WM and it has been 100% reliable.

Depends. If it's the old, discontinued kit, I see them all the time for $160. (Well before the stupidity).
The new Evolution kits are over $200 new.

My local gun shop has them for $225, and that is with 3 magazines.  I bought mine right after christmas and I love it.

Thank you for all of the replies; you helped me make the decision to purchase. It is the stainless steel evolution model. I bought it on Post at AAFES for $203.00 so, no tax.

As for the “WOW...obviously to new to search!.......LOL......” comment, you can tell by my number of post I do not get to the site very much. But thank you for your reply and pointing out the obvious.
