Ok this is my first attempt at a 9mm AR. I'm a RRA, Sabre and general AR15/M16 armorer for my department so I have a lot of experience with the AR platform. Own 7 ARs and a department issued M16.
I found a Few mag blocks in stock and don't know what one would be best Hahn bottom loading $175 no bolt hold open Hahn top loading $200 had bolt hold open RRA $155 has bolt hold open My parts I have acquired so far A3 upper non 9mm upper but Its what I have on hand 16in YHM fluted barrel with rifle length Free float tube CMMG ramped bolt Spikes lower with spikes parts kit Gonna order a 9mm spacer and buffer I'm not stuck on a mag choice yet but already have 15 UZI mags for my semi UZI so ill probably have them modified to work with both weapons. This will pretty much be built and left in 9mm but want the option to switch back to 5.56 if I decide to later so any advise on how to proceed with mag block selection would be great. Also from my limited research any of the listed mag blocks will work with Colt/metal form or UZI mags correct and with a ramped bolt I can run a standard hammer correct? Thanks Tim |
