Who, if anyone makes a dedicated post ban .22LR upper receiver group?!  Have looked at a few places, but everything I see has the bayo lug (a no-no in CT).

Built my 5.56, now looking at building a dedicated .22LR for the wife, daughter(s) and general all around Tom-foolery.

Check out Spikes tactical. They can make a .22LR upper ban compliant. That`s where I got mine.

Your best bet may be to buy a dedicate 22LR barrel (Brownells has the CMMG M4 profile barrel and collar for $99, at least last time I checked).

Then buy a used FSB on the EE, tap the taper pin holes for hex bits, and dremmel off the Bayo Lug.

Finish up with a welded and pinned muzzle brake (or have the threaded end of the barrel machined off and refaced) and you'd be set.

Been looking at the CMMG upper...  also been considering a conversion kit, but I've got a fully built lower assembly and would be a shame for it to sit around unused...

Call me stoopid...  but what's the collar I've been hearing about?  Could probably find out if I did a serarch, but with this head/chest cold right now, I'm just not in the mood.

The collar fits on the BCG rails and connects the BCG onto the barrel. It also contains the feed ramp.
