I recently purchased a CMMG 22 lr upper fro my last lower I had lying around and it looked fantastic when it came in. Fit and finish was great. Took it to the range today and loaded up my Black Dog 32 round mag and proceeded to fire away. All went well for about 25 rounds then it started to fail to go into battery on every round. Took me a minute to figure out the Dummy (yes me) forgot to lube it before heading to the range. I only brought the AR and a box of 333 Winnie with me so I raised the Tacoma's hood and took the power steering dipstick and dribbled some on the rails and appropriate places. When reassembled it ran like a champ for the next 250 rounds until I left for the house. I had a 6x scope on it as I didn't have any sights for the flat tops so accuracy was pretty good with out a rest. I was hitting tin can lids every time at 50 yds. Next outing with more time I will bench it to see what it can do at 50 yds. The Black Dog mag functioned great but had to be filed and sanded to fit the LAR lower. All in all I love this thing.

Very innovative, using Power Steering Fluid as lube. I have Automatic Transmissions in all my trucks and that fluid would be my first thought. Your 6x scope should be perfect for 50 yard plinking. Black Dog Machine makes very nice products. Great to hear that all turned out well...

LOL, my truck is an auto also but the power steering was one the front closest to me.
