Does anyone have any ideas on where to get, or make, some replacement e clips for them? Gave spikes a call, there not sure if more will be ordered or where to find some (there working on that though and told me to call back in a week or two) till then I cannot shoot boolits as my spring bent as well due to the e clip falling off some how... <,<

I know this is an ideal time to switch to a cmmg only problem is I already have a dedicated st22 upper and bought the 556 chamber adapter a while back.

If you get into a pinch there is something you might consider. You can put the CMMG parts in your Spikes unit. You use the Spikes collar and maybe even the rails. I have been using a Spikes chamber adapter with my CMMG bolt and rails for a couple of years, no issues at all. I had do to a very minor and quick job on the adapter to get the rails to fit just right. Five minutes with a small file or Dremel.  Oh, why? I had a Spikes unit and had trouble getting it to run 100%. Switched over to a CMMG and got flawless operation.

CMMG does list the parts you need seperately, BTW.

There was a post on here some months back that listed the size of that clip for the Spikes. You are not the only person who has lost it. I would just take the unit to my local hardware store and match it up. Might cost $ .20 or so to buy one. But I would buy several...

I just bought a couple E-clips today at Ace hardware locally. $0.33 to get me shooting again. This is the second replacement I'm putting in. I found the 1/8" clip looks like the best size. Such a PITA. I emailed spikes about a warranty on this unreliable design but havn't heard back yet.

You can get the 1-pc. rod to replace the rod you have. I did and have not had any problems at all. HERE If you are nice to them MAYBE you can convince them to send you one for free.

Too bad the cheapest shipping option they have is over $11.  I don't know why they can't stick that in an envelope.

I've had three of those clips pop out using hi velocity ammo.  I finally gave up on it and replaced the rod with the one from my Ciener kit which is one piece.  I don't know why Spikes went with the flismy clips.  Hell, even Ciener knew not to go that route.

If you call, they will send it USPS I believe.
