I have the oportunity to trade for one of these. The guy is wanting to trade straight up for my WASR 10. below is a picture of the actual mp 15 22 and what comes with it. What do you guys think? good deal? I am strongly leaning towards going through with the trade as I know the MP15-22 will get used more than my WASR will, it has actually sat in the safe the past couple range trips.

It's a fair trade and you will definetly shoot more .22 than 7.62 x 39.
.22 is addicting.

I've never had the chance to shoot one of the Smith 22's but that's a nice looking rifle in the picture.
you should have a blast with it at the range. I hear they are really light. Great thing for shooting all day.

Good Luck and Happy Shooting....

A couple guys were shooting those at the carbine matches.
Both ran good and they were both happy with them.
Only you know if you'll be happy with the trade!

I've had one for about 8 months now, and love it!
I've put upwards of 3,000 rounds through it without a glitch after a short break-in period
Some things to look out for though are to see if is one of the earlier model, they have some ejection issues (mine did). Its a quick fix, separate the upper and lower, and move the ejection claw about 1/32" toward the bolt until it is almost riding on the bolt.  Like I said, after this, 3,000 rounds with no fte's

unless the owner had the barrel threaded on his own, this is obviously a recent model as all of the  early 15-22s did not have threaded barrels.

The S&W  22 got an A+ in GunTest. I shot it and love its M-4 look and feel better than the Colt.It is the next 22 going in my collection.

well decided I really didn't want to part with the AK so I didn't go through with the deal. Instead will be picking up a CMMG stainless conversion and 3 mags on friday
