| Does anybody know what happened to the threads about the bolt hold open latch that someone here designed ? I think the guys name was alpalwal |

The thread got locked because I'm not a dealer. I'm going through the dealer process right now. By next week I'll hopefully be a dealer and shipping the bolt catches. just a question, are you "reserving" catches for the guys in the other thread who said they'd take one while you were/are in development? are BDM mags gtg yet? |

I'll have enough in the first batch for everyone so that shouldn't be an issue. The BDM mags should be out in May. |

I'll have enough in the first batch for everyone so that shouldn't be an issue. The BDM mags should be out in May I called BDM a fews days ago about returning some mags under warrenty, and spoke to Bruce who I think is Kevin's son. I asked about the mags for a last round fired bolt hold open and he didn't know anything about it. Can you verify that the mags will be available ? |

I stay in touch with Kevin at least on a monthly basis. We are working a project together and
have been for several years. Kevin's got a Daughter, no son that I know of. He has family working there as much as possible. Kevin and I talked about these magazines and they are on the way. The only thing that will possible hold up any project that Kevin is working on is that he is a perfectionist to the max. He will do anything to insure that his products go out, stay out and give 100% reliable service. I know he was working with these magazines to accomplish just that but I believe they are on the way very soon. Have faith, Kevin and BDM are one of the very best suppliers on the planet. alpalwal: I had a couple threads locked on me when introducing a new product. They said I was advertising. I know how you feel. I just felt that I had important things to tell people at ARFCOM, especially that there was an ARFCOM Discount Code. But there are rules and I obviously over stepped my bounds. Someday I may be an ARFCOM Industry Partner, until then, I'll watch my steps more closely. Congratulations on becoming a dealer, I patiently await your projects release and Kevin's magazines that will work with it. I wish you all the success in the world. Sincerely, SpecOps-13 |
| well.. with or without the new mags, I still need a couple of these bolt catches. I need them to hold the bolt back when I get a round stuck in the chamber. Its hard to keep one hand on the charging handle while pulling it back and using the other hand with a plier to extract the round. |

Spec, thanks a ton for the support. I really appreciate it.
K9driver, I'll let you know when I get the pieces in. To everyone else - I'm officially a dealer now so I have my own section in the industry forum. In a day or so I'll get a thread going with all the details about the bolt catch. |

Sincerely, SpecOps-13 I just got done speaking with Kevin's son Bruce, there's also a daughter that works there. He told me he doesn't know anything about a hold open bolt, he said " but that doesn't mean there isn't one coming out". He just doesn't know anything about it. Kevin is in Africa on safari and will be back Friday. I'll call back on Monday. I'm doing all this because they are going to exchange some mags for me, either for a newer designed sonic weld units or hopfully for the .22 bolt catch version John |
