What kind of accuracy are some of yall getting with 5" 9mm barrels?  I've got a spikes 5" with an AAC Evo 9 can and the best groups so far are around 3" at 25yrds. Just wondering if anyone out there has had better luck.

Im gonna go with "Learn to shoot" for 100 Alex..

Ive got subcompact XD that groups better than that.

Have someone else shoot it and/or bench it, take the YOU factor out of it and then get back with us.

Yea, I do better than that with my ADCO 5.5" barrel with Trident.  I mostly shoot at plates though, and farther than 25 yards.  I love to hear that lead splatter.

I won't say I drive tacks with it, but my 10.5" barrel from Spikes is a lot better than that without trying hard.  Off a rest, I can keep everything in the 9 ring at 50 yards.  (No can, just a 9mm-sized A2 flash hider.)

Try it with and without the can at 25 yards on a sandbag.  Are you shooting subsonic reloads?  Change ammo and repeat the process.

If you get the same kind of results

What kind of sights?  Optics?  Is everything tight?

Take my word, I shoot just fine of the bench.  With my 22 upper I get one ragged hole at 25yrds.  Thats why I was curious how everyone elses grouped.  I tried subsonic and super sonic rounds same groups with both.  I think the problem may have been sight related, I was using a fake aimpoint, but I just changed to a Burris speed dot so as soon as I have a chance to shoot I'll let you know if the problem is solved or not.

I've got a 5" barrel on an AR15/9mm that shoots about the way you describe.

Oddly enough, I've got an M11/9 (also with a 5-ish inch barrel) that does much better.
