I saw a few 550 count boxes of Peters (Remington) 22LR sitting on a shelf the other day.  I have used Peters some 20 years ago, but haven't seen it in a very long time.  So, I came home and did a google search for it and only came up with hits referencing the old stuff.  The boxes I saw were new stock.  Apparently, Remington is producing Peters brand ammo again.

Has anyone tried the bulk Peters out on there dedicated uppers?  If so, how does it perform?

I do not have my upper yet (been waiting for 4 weeks).  I will definitely give the stuff a try if I ever get my upper.  Until then, I like to know if any of you have used it.

I picked up a brick recently as that was the only stuff on the shelf.  I put about 50 rounds through my Spike's dedicated upper and it ran okay, but it may gum things up as it's not a plated bullet.  I'll have to put more rounds downrange before I decide.

I have a bunch of Peters ammo, but only run it in my .22lr revolver.  In my experience, most semi-autos (especially conversion units) run best with plated bullets.  YMMV.
