| I have searched and came up empty. I was wondering if anyone other than SW makes magazines for the 15-22 yet. Especially interested in higher capacity mags. |
I live in an unrestricted state but would like to have the smaller cap mags because I wouldn't be dumping mags as quickly. I bought this gun to shoot economically but have been going through ammo like crack! Do you have any idea how quickly you can empty eight loaded 25 rounders?

The only thing that goes faster is having your 11 year old grandson shooting. |

Judging from the minute to 90 seconds it took me to dump 100 rounds from my M&P15-22 I expect your time was under three minutes (barring stoppages).
I just bought .22LR ammo at 3ยข/round so even 200 rounds only cost a whopping six bucks. M855 Ball would have set me back nearly $100. But don't just blast way. Make 'em count. Limit of reasonable range seems to be about 75 meters based on my couple of weekends. And most infantry combat still occurs at ranges closer than 100 meters. This is realistic shooting range and skill. –– Chuck |

I have 5 mags. A couple of them came from 44mag.com and Black Dog is working on them as well. He has already modified some of his Ciener/Atchisson drum towers to work with the S&W.
I'm shooting steel with my S&W AR 15-22 out to 250 yards. We have steel 13" by 25" targets at 185 yards that I can triple tap on a regular basis. Sure the cartridge has its limitations at that range, but it is the cheap training that I am after. If I am making hits I am making hits... jonblack |
