I just bought a Tactical Solutions 22 upper and I attached it to a lower and I now have a question.

I was just sitting here pulling the charging handle and noticed that the bolt moves differently as it is pulled back. There are two stages as seen in the picture (Sorry for the quality, not my pic)

First stage is a light smooth pull to #1 in the picture.

Second stage is a pull that's almost twice as heavy to #2. I believe that the hammer is contacting the bolt between stage 1 and 2.

What I'm asking is for reassurance that this normal.

Try shooting it to see how it functions and get back to us.  Not sure what is causing that but if it functions fine then it's no issue :)

Hammer is against the bolt at the beginning, if not cocked (like it's been dry fired, or had an FTF.
If cocked, yeah, that's probably about where the bolt starts to override the cocked hammer.

its perfectly normal. as you suggested it contacts the hammer and more force has to be applied to overcome the recoil spring and hammer spring combined.

Alright thanks guys. This is my first 22 conversion. I just had some horrible nightmare that my hammer was way outta spec. Now I just need to get my red dot ordered and go shoot it.
