Has anyone experience with the Colt dedicated 22LR Spec Ops. I purchased one in August and have found it to be really a lot of fun. Had 2 initial kinks in it and both were resolved by UMAREX very quickly. Just looking for other experiences.

I have one and I think I broke last time I took it out. I decided to clean it like I do my REAL AR and when I took the pins out the fake slide release fell off. Not sure if it had a spring behind it or not but I guess I'll find out next time I take it out. How do YOU clean yours?

Hal, not to piss in your sweet tea but the Umarex is a dog compared to the MP22 or a dedicated AR upper like Tac-Sol or Spikes. I have 2 Spikes, best investments I made as far as gun purchases.

Ex Colt M4 OPS owner here. Did not like the proprietary parts, really crappy trigger, and difficult to easily clean. S&W 15-22, Spikes and TacSol are much better choices.

Hi Walt, I clean it assembled but use a spring clip, (Black binder type) to hold back the charging handle. I also just bush Hopes 9 into the action and blow it clean with an air gun. Cleans up real fine no problems. Others think more of other rimfire options but I like this one just fine. BTW I have access to a Spikes upper. I wil not say anything wrong with it but I have shot it several times and find the Walther/Umarex/Colt to be as just accurate. Basically I had the option of either and chose the dedicated Colt over others.
