I get to the 18th or 19th round, while loading a 32 round mag, and the thing becomes almost impossible to load. I have to hold the round on top of the mag and bump it on something while pushing down on the round? Anyone else have the same problem or does anyone have a solution.
Thanks in advance.... BG |

It is probably because the inside of the tube is rough. Check out the welds on the inside. You shouldn't have to do this but it has become necessary lately with CP due to no quality control. If you smooth over the rough spots it will "probably" work. I can't load my Cproducts or Colt magazines by hand past about 20 rounds without the bump method or a loader. The spring tension on a 32 rounder is quite high. |
| In preperation for my RRA 9mm, I ordered some CProducts mags and found the same issue, but mine are at round 29 on one and 30 on the other. I decieded to load as many as I could and let them sit for a few days to try and take away some of the tension. I'll let you know how it turns out, but I don't believe they will take the full 32 rds. |

I break my fingers almost loading mine. They work 100% all the way to 32 rounds, but I usually stop at 30 because the last 2 are next to IMPOSSIBLE to load. I plan to get a mag loader soon - there a 9mm Colt AR mag Maglula available that latches on the mag for loading, or you can get the cheap Uzi mag loader. |

With any really high cap magazine, it's also important to keep the bullet noses from dragging on the front of the magazine tube. This is almost trivial with a .223 magazine, but 9mms present a lot more material at their noses and so they can cause a lot more drag. I usually put in about 10 rounds then whack the magazine BACKWARD to shift all the rounds toward the back of the magazine. It works for me.
If your magazines are "rough," try running a rag through them. Regular soot and grime will wipe out, and the rag will catch on rough welds. That will at least tell you whether the issue is just gunk or a mechanical problem. And if you're having troubles you can't solve with CProducts magazines, check with CProducts to see if they are working an issue like "a run of poor welds" or something else. They have a forum in the Industry section. I got some of the very first run of these magazines, and they had problems with feed lip shapes. Larry replaced my magazines without ANY hassle beyond sending back the bad ones so they could figure out how the problem happened in the first place. He sent me back an extra, brand new (and working) magazine for my trouble. Very good folks there. |
