Hey guys. Just tried out my new SPIKES .22 conversion in my DPMS. I shot about 100 rounds and i'd say I had maybe 20~30 fail to eject. (Maybe more>) I was using Remington 22LR Golden Bullet value pack. (all I can find). I have heard these are not that good. Is this what is causing my problem or is it something else. Is there anything I can do to better the problem.

I don't know what it is about conversion kits and ammo likes.
I have an Advantage Arms .22LR conversion kit for my Glock 19. It loves the Remington Golden Bullets. In my Ciener kit I get an occasional jam with them, but the Ciener kit loves Federal bulk pack and the AA kit hates the federal, I can't get more than 3 shots off without it jamming. My Marlin model 60 feeds both bulk packs just fine. I just buy what ever is in stock, it will work in one of my conversion kits or the Marlin. |

Is there anything I can do to better the problem. Thanks Trim 3 coils off the recoil spring and try again, but do bear in mind that RemGB doesn't perform well in most AR's. If you still have problems, check the fit of the extractor (should hold cases snugly on the bolt face), and also check for mag lip contact and also if the bolt is hitting the bolt stop. |
