I shot my upper for just the third session a few days back. First two times I was a bit bummed with several stove pipes and the trigger not resetting a bunch of times. I knew I should fire a few hundred rounds before I expected perfection, but it was hard to believe that when it looked so well crafted.
I have a Burris Fullfied 3-9x on the upper with a ranging reticle and the two were an amazing combo. I was easily hitting little pieces of broken clays at 100yards. I used Stingers, Fed Value Pack, Winchester Value Pack, and Fed Auto Match. I experienced two stove pipes after firing over 300 rounds. No earth shattering news, just giving the folks at Spike's their due. The BDM mags worked great too, as they do in my WASR22. I was surprised to have that much fun with the 22 upper, good thing as that is the only thing I feel sane shooting at these prices. |
