| Any at mods like the X-ring or small buffers to stuff in it. Rounds are loose and causes then to spin around inside the upper and not kick out. Any help appreciated. |
| Not really anything you can stuff in it to fix it - the 9mm extractor is similar to a 1911 extractor - you can remove it and add some tension or make alterations to the hook end if you are having issues with it. If it's broke or defective, you may want to consider just replacing it. |

This sounds more like an ejector problem rather than an extractor problem. There is a mod for the extractor where you replace the OEM roll pin, which is very short, with a 3/4" roll pin that fits the bolt very nicely. You can get one from Lowes.
There are a couple of things to do to an ejector. All of which have been covered 100 times before.... I'll dig you up a thread with everything you'll need to do. Read here: Tweaking a 5.5" 9mm upper |

At first I thought the same thing, the ejector. Nope. The extractor barely holds the round in. Maybe I will try grinding and bending it to give it some more grab. The extractor is too far away from the bolt face. But I can't see a way to fix this without welding and regrinding the roll pin notch.
Merry X-mas guys. |
| The extractor in a Colt-system 9mm carbine is much like that in a classic 1911 pistol. You can't "tighten it up" by adding springs or O-rings or anything like that. If it's a new carbine, you may want to contact the manufacturer and see if they'll replace the bolt for you. |
