I ordered a .22 upper back in June, and didn't get it until a few weeks ago.

Damn, you guys must have bad luck.  I ordered a flat-top, heavy barrel 16" upper back in late September or early October.  Got it in November.

I ordered one (A2 upper HBAR) on Oct 15 and received it November 13th approx.  Just around 4 weeks from order to receipt.

I ordered an in stock 7 1/2" 9mm barrel from Model 1 Sales in mid-November.  They shipped me a 5.56 barrel instead.  On four occasions over the last two weeks I was promised that the correct barrel would ship out by their telephone customer service representatives.  I think that they finally did ship the barrel out yesterday (fingers crossed), but it took daily calls to them to get it done.  The customer service reps seemed annoyed by my calls and were not very helpful in resolving this issue.
Their customer service has really slipped and they seem unable to deal with the current rush.
As a licensed manufacturer, I have had the opportunity to make purchases from many suppliers over the last few weeks as my normal suppliers do not have any stock.  If you have the choice, order your items from PK Firearms, Bravo Company, Rainier Arms, or Brownells instead.  They have the items on their website in stock, and have excellent customer care despite the current rush.

If it wasn't for my "auto-retry on busy signal" feature on my local phone service, I would have never gotten through to them.  Their line stays busy.  I ordered via the web two weeks or so ago, called to check on it, and was told it would be 14-16 weeks for anything in-stock to ship.  If you missed that, that means they have so many orders to fill and so few people to fill them that they can't put a part they have on-hand in a box and ship it to you until three months later.

The more I thought about it, the more I decided that was unacceptable.  I wish they had more shipping and order processing staff on-hand to give my money to.  I decided to cancel and finally got through just now.  I am giving my ~$500 to ADCO Firearms instead.

So, it you're waiting, you should know that it's not going to be a short wait.  If the part isn't in-stock (like most parts are not right now), it will most likely be an even longer wait than 14-16 weeks.  Good luck!

Same here...  I waited for a while, found one of the items I had ordered in stock at another vendor, tried to have M1S cancel that item only; instead, they canceled the whole order.  I'm not going to the back of the line again... screw it.

I have 7 kits on order from them in various configuations that I ordered on 11/10.  I was told 9-12 weeks but we'll see.  If I see them before the end of February I'll be surprised.

I ordered a .22 barrel from them a week or two ago and forgot to ask about wait times. I think I'm going to call tomorrow and check b/c I'm not going to wait weeks or months to start this dedicated build.

Be sure to post their response!

I ordered a .22 barrel from them in mid-November and they told me 12-14 weeks.  And it was in stock!  M1S usually sets up at the Indy 1500 gun show and the next one is in January.  If I don't have the barrel in hand before then, I'm gonna call and ask if they can just bring it to the show and let me pick it up there.

I have heard from numerous sources that they still have a lot of stuff in stock, and they're still taking it with them to all the gun shows.  As incredible as it seems, those of us who placed orders months ago get to sit and wait, while the gun show shoppers buy all our parts up and run them all out of stock.

I wasn't willing to let them take my order for granted like that.  Want some contrast?  See Del-Ton.  They canceled all gun show appearances until they get the existing orders out.  They are dedicated to getting you your parts as soon as they can, and they don't take your business for granted.  They're just having problems getting parts in stock fast enough to meet the demand.

I don't disagree with you on that, but I have yet to see ANY .22 parts at the Model 1 tables at the fun show.  I don't think they bring them along, but I could be wrong.  I just really want that barrel!

Probably sold out of them and can't take them would be my guess.

I spoke with M1S today (sorry I did not get the reps name).  I enquired about a 300/221 bbl - she said "They are in stock but we are 12 to 14 weeks out on deliveries, but we do have them instock".    When I enquired about a 22lr bbl she said "They are also in stock, but we are getting them out a little quicker - closer to 8 weeks.".

It wasn't until I got off the phone that I questioned what the difference would be between 2 different items if both were in stock.

I'll re-post when they arrive and/or when I hear anything.

Wow I must have gotten lucky....Ordered a 7 1/2" .22cal kit in late oct. got a phone call at the end of nov. saying my card I had originally ordered with had expired, said they tried calling me 2 weeks prior... gave them a new card number and they shipped my kit out that day...ended up getting it Dec. 8th....So far I have had good experience with M1S all the other times I have ordered from them.

How about this one.

On 11/20 I ordered a .22lr  20" heavy barrel complete kit in A2 configuration minus the lower receiver over the internet.  Before making the order I called them to figure out a complete kit package.  During that conversation they said it would be 12-14 weeks and they were currently filling orders from 10/26.  They said they were receiving an average of 400 orders per day.

On 11/25 I called just to ask what day they were filling orders for, they said 11/3,

On 11/26 I received an email from UPS saying "it shipped".
It arrived on 12/03.

I think that is 13 days from internet order to my door.

After some polishing on the bolt and slide it works great.  500 rounds today with no problems.

I must be lucky too I order a 22 lightweight bbl 2/18/09 and it arrived on 2/26/09.
They did say it could take 6-8 week on delivery even though it was in stock.
I figured no big deal then here it is and it runs great too.
