Someone said we should have a .45 Porn thread. I'll start. AR45  AR45 Lower  World's First .45 GAP AR with Thompson SMG barrel, using Sten mags with feed lips opened up. With brown shoe accessory.

My AR15 45ACP. It is still configured with a standard lower using Uzi mags. Hopefully I will have it set up with my AR45 lower before too long. Oly FIRSH free float hand guard. SRT integral suppressor. Old Aimpoint red dot.  AR45 lower and mags  Just have to get the SBR paperwork done before I can use it. |
I don't know why, but I think this picture is awesome. I think its because it looks so clean. I am hoping to make a lower purchase by the end of the week, or sometime next week. by the way, this needs tacked. |

Here's mine: On the left: CNCguns/Khalan/Oly AR45. Midwest Industries hand guard, LMT sight, CAA VFG, JP Industries adjustable trigger and low mass hammer on .169" pins. On the right: Cavalry Arms/Oly CAV45. DPMS sight. Stock except I dremeled a finger groove behind the trigger guard and hit it with some black spray paint.  What the hell, if Photobucket doesn't mind hosting them, I'm posting them!   |
specs please? Id really like to know the barrel over all length and the ff length. |
The lower in question is made from a 10% lower sold by www.cncguns.com and finished to 100% by the current manufacturer www.thompsonmachine.net/gun.htm. They are designed to use an unmidified WWII M3 grease gun mag. The uppers are Olympic Arms .45 ACP uppers but this set up can also handle .45 Super. There are a few guns out there using this lower and grease gun mags in 10mm as well. I've made custom .45 uppers using Thompson SMG barrels as well with a barrel extension made by Kurt Wala at www.kurtskustomfirearms.citymax.com and RRA 9mm slick side upper receivers. |
my favorite so far. is it a 10" ff with 10.5" barrel? also, what suppressor is on it? ETA: sorry to everyone posting pictures. I know im not posting any, but as soon as I get a return email from justin at CNC then I will have a 10% lower inbound |
9" VIS with 9.5" barrel threaded .578x28. Both have AAC evo's. |
Nice looking gun. It looks like you've got a shortened grease gun mag there. What's the capacity? How much did you cut the spring? |
Is that a CNCGuns A1 carry handle? Good quality? |

It's a 15 round. I got the base plate from goober. I don't remember exactly how much I shortened the spring. I started with 7, and cut off however many more I needed until it felt right. It was a trial-and error thing. I cut the follower down a little bit too.
Yes, They are excellent quality. The only issue is the knobs. if you overtighten them they will crack. The machine-work on the handle is just beautiful. |

I have been more than happy with it. Doug was very helpful, did a great job and it was reasonably priced. It was the first suppressor I bought and a lot of people discouraged me saying I would not be happy with a 45 suppressor. Too inefficient, loud, etc. I now have suppressors for 22lr, 308, and 223. The SRT 45 is still my favorite. Joe |

Would you be willing to share how you made your AR45 work with Thompson mags? I can do the machining if you can show me what you did. I have a build that should be done this Friday that I modified a couple of grease gun mags for, but I would rather use Thompson mags if I can. It looks like a slick set-up. |

I just finished this build this afternoon. It uses an Oly bolt and ejector, KKF made the barrel and it feeds with heavily modified grease gun mags. I have a heavy buffer on order but I suspect I'll need a stiffer buffer spring also. Who offers a stiffer spring?

Okay, I'm try8ing to put a .45acp AR together using a CAVARMS MkII lower. BUT, seeing those AR45's really makes me want to go that route. My question, where can I get an AR45 stripped lower? Will a standard lpk work in it? I've got several unmodified grease gun mags. |
I ordered a heavy buffer from RRA. Will this do the job OK, or would something else be better? It'll be a week or two before I can shoot it. |
