Disclaimers:  No claims are made that this is the be-all, end-all of tests.  I have never claimed to be the most accurate rifle shooter either.  My eyes are definitely not what they used to be, although with glasses they're supposedly 20/20.

Weapon:  Bushmaster XM15-E2S, 16" HBAR, LEO stamped, 1/9 twist, chrome lined
Sights:  Standard issue iron, used long range peep
Conversion setup:  New Ciener AR conversion, BDM mags
Range:  25 yards, shooting from makeshift rest (bundles of flyers)
Performance:  All ammo functioned perfectly, save 1 round of American Eagle which failed to fire (primer was solidly hit)
Protocol:  10 round groups, fired as fast as sight picture reacquired

Winchester Dynapoint: w/o flier - .650", w/ 1 flier - .908

Fed American Eagle: w/o flier - .773, w/ 1 flier - 1.334

Rem Golden Bullet (bulk):  1.664 (can't eliminate fliers)

Fed Automatch (bulk):  w/o flier - .726, w/ 1 flier,  - 1.089

Fed 550 ct (bulk):  2.048" (can't eliminate fliers)

Aguila SSS:  1.109" (can't eliminate fliers)

I really expected more from the Aguila.  It's performance might have been hampered, because for some reason, every round caused my weapon to start burning oil from multiple places, which drifted into my eyes.  Strange.

ETA:  Of course I fired a LOT more than the 60 rounds noted above.  Probably 500 rounds or so, until the temp go too hot for me.

Talk about lead in the bore, too!  That bore in NASTY. I am glad I didn't put the 5.56 bolt back in and fire a few rounds before cleaning!

i know what you mean about dirty!  i mop the chamber and run a boresnake through a couple of times w/ breakfree and the run a couple of mags of .223 to clean out the gas tube. then i clean it good when i get home.  since i "precleaned" it at the range, doesn't take that long to clean it good.  i also take the ceiner apart, scrub w/ breakfree, spray w/ non-clorinated brake cleaner, lube it up to soaking w/ triflow lubrication and put it away in its case.  triflow is great because is is absorbed into the metal leaving a very slick surface that is not too wet.  good to go for the next trip to the range.
