That's pretty interesting. I don't know that I'd want a "genuine" DOE upper, but the format is really cool. Wouldn't it be fairly straightforward to build one up from a slick A1 upper, the right length barrel, and just get repro parts like the FSB and handguards? That sounds like a cool build project...

That price is a tad high in my opinion, especially with the damaged hand guard.

I recently sold one of my DOE uppers (NIB) for $1250.
