I finally received my dedicated upper today, I got it to work after about 10 mags or so, but never could get it to run in full auto. It would run 2 or 3 rounds and then just stop with the hammer not cocked. Any help would be great.

Thanks

Does it have the Anti-Bounce weight Installed?

You can try a Lakeside recoil spring, Sometimes thats help alot on FA.

Lakeside Machine spring set, light weight hammer/trigger/disco springs, anti bounce weight, various types of ammo, and alot of patience are good starting points. It's a long road for some, but well worth it when you find the right combination.

Where could a person obtain these items (anti-bounce weight and the Lakeside recoil spring).

Thanks

You should have the anti-bounce weight along with the sear trip in your M-16 Ciener parts.

if you got the m16 kit(model 1 will ask for a copy of your f4) then you already have the abw.  if not try www.kuehlprecisionfirearms.com for parts.  not sure if he still has any stock.  you need the automatic trip as well.

Definitely have to use the Auto trip too.

If it was me I would first make sure the bolt is set up for FA, having the proper Anti-bounce weight and Auto trip. Then if there was still issues I would give the Lakeside springs a shot.

I was trying it without the anti bounce weight. Do they (Model 1) send the weight with the kits or do you have to buy them seperate. I ordered the full auto upper, they didnt send the sear trip, I had barrowed one, but no weight, maybe thats the missing link.

Thanks for all the advice, cant wait to blast some .22.

when you order from model 1 anything remotely associated with nfa  you need to send them a copy of your form4( did you do that when ordering the m16 kit) if not then they sent you the ar15 kit.  the abw and even more important automatic trip are the only difference in the m16 kit and ar15 kit.  but if you paid for the m16 kit and did not receive it call model1 to get your missing parts
ymmv
