I'm getting ready to build a 9mm, I see some kits use UZI mags, some modified UZI mags, some use a RRA mag, etc. Which block is the most reliable? I have an UZI already, so it would be nice to use a block that utilized un-modified mags, but, reliability is more important.

Thank you very much for your input.

That is all based on which magwell filler you choose, and wether or not bolt hold is a feature you want.  Uzi mags can be used in 2 fashion,

1 --  held by AR mag catch, require cut to mag to dupe the COLT mag.. use any of the COLT cloned blocks by RRA, ASA, Garrison, Hahn, yada, yada

2 -- plain old Uzi mag, use Hy-Tech block

Which block is the most reliable?
The Hy-Tech is plug - n - play, worst needed might be need to tweak eject finger to align with bolt, mine was fine out of the box.

The Colt clones need to verify install to lower, as they able to move, Hy-Tech is locked in place via AR catch, so as long as lower in spec for hole and latch locations, the Hy-Tech be located proper. So it is easy to be off with the COLT clone blocks, once located, best use a machine screw through the lower to use as a reference point, M60joe does this so block be removed for 5.56, then simply put block back for 9mm, the screw is the reference point.

HEHEHEEE, I'm an Uzi owner since 1988, and I'm not about to cut my mags.. Hy-Tech for me, saved me expense on COLT mags also.

Thank you very much for your input.
