Ok. I have a RRA pistol in 5.56. want to shoot 9mm, so this is what I have on the way.

I bought a CMMG 9mm short upper, complete with bolt.

ordered the VM heytech uzi mag block. ordered 6 uzi mags from cheaper than dirt.

ordered 9mm hammer and buffer from RRA.

What am I missing here, and will a chip McCormick trigger work in this setup?

thanks for the help and comments.

You can't use the 9mm hammer with the CMC trigger group.  Skip the RRA 9mm hammer and get your 9mm bolt ramped instead.  Otherwise it looks like you have everything already, except ammo.  You will need lots and lots of ammo.

What nrode said.
Ramping the bolt is good for the life of your lower as well.

I got the CMMG 14.5" upper w/bolt, nice upper.  I am using a Hahn block (bottom mount) and C Products 32 round s/s magazines, runs like a champ.  The lower was a new stripped Global Tactical lower.

Several guys have asked about target rifle triggers on their 9mm AR's.  Seems like a weird combination to me......

I have a regular AR15 hammer and bone stock trigger group in my 9mm AR.  Try to learn the clumbsy GI grade trigger and it will make you a better shot on every rifle you shoot. It can be done and the 9mm platform is ideal for learning.  I have a McCormick modular trigger in my AR10, thay are very nice indeed and if you ramp the bolt in you 9 the McComick might work (not sure, but I don't see why not).

get some ammo and enjoy you ner carbine!

You can send it to M60 Joe to have it ramped..

I haven't got around to it yet, but it would be a good idea, since it will save ware on the lower.

You can also IM user MGP here.  He did mine and had it back on it's way to me the same day he received it.  Must better price than M60Joe too.  ADCO does bolt ramping now too.

Any of the three options will get you quality results.
