Well Crap!! now I gotta buy new followers, put'em in my skinnys, and shoot more ammo...... life is good.... |
LINK to the Replacement Parts. Keep in mind that the follower sets do not include springs. LINK eta: The replacement parts won't be here until the beginning of the week probably but they are available for order until then. |
Thanks. But the "old vs new" pictures show the round parts first in one frame and the square parts first in the next frame. I have both types and my mags were recently purchased. I'm gonna GUESS that the round tip parts are the ones BlackDog enhanced. |
For All Black Dog Machine Parts... |

The BDM mags ive got SUCK so bad to load its UNREAL. Im LUCKY if i can get 20-23 rounds in them. They do function flawless though. ETA: These replacment parts should be free, its a design flaw, the follower and spring binds up. Just like when Magpul upgraded their P-mag bodies, the new bodies were avilable for free. I just dont like the Idea of spending $30 on a mag and then turn around and have to buy parts to make the work properly. |
Yeah i just did mine today. I took me about an Hour to do 3 or them. I sanded the follower/bullet track in the each mag half, rounded the corners on the follower and the guide on the floor plate, cut the springs down to 10.5" and used some Beta Mag Graphite Lube. WOW What a difference. I can Load 28rd No Problem, where i was lucky to get 23-24. Im at 2000rds Now with ZERO Malfunctions! They were just a HUGE PITA to Load! |
I agree. They shouldn't be charging for the replacement parts. And to think that the Pmags cost about half the price of the BDM, magpul stil replaced the bodies for free. That's what you call great service. |
