Here is a pic of our new modified follower parts set. I added a 7 degree angle to the floor plate/spring catch as well as added a full radius. The follower has a full radius as well. We found that with the new parts there was less sping bind and made loading way better.  The 7 degree angle lines up the head with the floorplate . I will offer them for sale but anybody handy with a file can preform the mod.

Looks like what I did on mine but mine dont look that good I can atest that they will make loading better. Thanks for making a great product I hope to have 25 or so of your mags in a few months.

Is there another follower color? I have 3 new full body mags with a red follower that run 100% with Federal 550 value pack ammo from Wallyworld. The mags/Ciener kit does not like Remmy ammo, but I doubt that has anything to do with the follower.

So far Balistic Sounds and Black Dog will have the kits. They are only in red at this point. They will fit in any of our mags, ciener, m261, CZ or the gen 1 skinnys. The skinnys will hold 32 rounds with the new parts.

Will my backordered brownells mags come with the new parts?

All of the mags we have been shipping as of a month ago have the new parts, I would say yes you should be getting the new ones in your backorder.

How do we know if we have the old versus the new?

Take your mags apart and look at the pictures in this post. I got my mags for Christmas and I have the "old" style follower. They run perfect, so I don't plan on changing anything.

Thanks.
But the "old vs new" pictures show the round parts first in one frame and the square parts first in the next frame.

I have both types and my mags were recently purchased.

I'm gonna GUESS that the round tip parts are the ones BlackDog enhanced.

I tried an easy mod to the old style followers by running them through a jumbo pencil sharpener, and presto, you achieve pretty much the same effect as the new ones.

The BDM mags ive got SUCK so bad to load its UNREAL. Im LUCKY if i can get 20-23 rounds in them. They do function flawless though.

ETA: These replacment parts should be free, its a design flaw, the follower and spring binds up. Just like when Magpul upgraded their P-mag bodies, the new bodies were avilable for free. I just dont like the Idea of spending $30 on a mag and then turn around and have to buy parts to make the work properly.

I took mine apart and sanded the little bit of flash in the bullet track and I can get 28 in now, these are the new ones for a ciener

Yeah i just did mine today. I took me about an Hour to do 3 or them. I sanded the follower/bullet track in the each mag half, rounded the corners on the follower and the guide on the floor plate, cut the springs down to 10.5" and used some Beta Mag Graphite Lube. WOW What a difference. I can Load 28rd No Problem, where i was lucky to get 23-24. Im at 2000rds Now with ZERO Malfunctions! They were just a HUGE PITA to Load!

I just received four mags, and they have hot pink parts that appear to be off of the new tools, rounded ends, beveled catch, etc.

I agree. They shouldn't be charging for the replacement parts. And to think that the Pmags cost about half the price of the BDM, magpul stil replaced the bodies for free. That's what you call great service.
