I got my first AR a little over a year ago and have become obsessed (just ask my wife).  Anyway, I picked up two RRA lowers and am planning to put together a couple myself.  Since ammo has nearly doubled since I got into these, I've decided one of these will be a
dedicated 22LR upper.  I have an A3 flat top that I picked up and found a 1:12 A1 barrel in the used EE that I just committed to buying (only $75 shipped).

My question is:  Will this work with a A3 upper, Ciener conversion setup?

Sellers description of the barrel is "WTS: Unused Colt A1 barrel, 20 inches, 1X12, CMP Chrome Bore.  Also references NOS A1.

I've been soaking up all the great info on this board for over a year and appreciate any input  anyone can provide.

Well the barrel master has spoken!
The only thing I can add is that I have the same barrel for my dedicated 22LR upper. It's an old Colt skinny 20" - 1 in 12 chrome lined beater that lives on my M16.
Everyone else (NFA) is going the HB shorty route and I have a long barreled gun that shoots good without a weight penalty.
It rocks!

Thanks for the replies.  Looking forward to putting this together and finding out what it likes to shoot.
