Ive heard so many comments on them, ive come to the conclusion that about 50% work and the other half doesn't. So whats the truth? please tell me experiences on them with details, not just that they sucks or something like that. I just ordered 3 and was curious what to expect. Thanks.

I have two new ones that I have used a few times and have had zero problems with the exception of not locking in well at times.  I am not sure if that is me or the mags.  I may buy a couple more but I am waiting on CP.

I bought five over a year ago and have shot the ever loving shit out of thim. They have been perfect. They are for range use exclusively though. I am also waiting on the cp mags, but these things will work untill then.

100% flawless for me. I originally bought 2 and liked them so much I bought 8 more. I paid around $12 ea for mine. I've also heard of other places that have had them on sale for even less than that. For the price, they're hard to beat.

Not looking to hijack this thread but while you are at it what speedloaders are you guys using on the Promags if any?

I only have one & it works fine with most brands of ammo.  Wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

I usually just load them with 30 rounds instead of 32. And I load them by hand.

Had the same problem until I tightened the Mag Release as far as the receiver would allow.  No issues now, as there is enough metal exposed to seat deeply in the slot.

I have a couple and they have been just as reliable as any of my colt mags.

the 9mm Mag LULA is a sweet loader.

I have 10 of them and they all work perfect. No issues, they even lock back the action every time. I have 2 9mm carbines...one 14.5 w/Phantom and one 10.5" SBR. The long barreled version has an RRA block (custom pinned) and the SBR has a Hahn block. I have done all the shooting in the one with the RRA block. There is a small mod you need to do to the mags to make them fit in the Hahn block. I have done this, but I haven't tried them live fire yet in the SBR.

People seem to bash them constantly and I think it is honestly just because they are made by Promag. I know Promag typically sucks, but the 9mm AR mags are good.

P.S. I have a Cambi Loader and I love it for these mags. I had to remove the lower 1" or so so it would snap onto the mag (lower half of the Promag is thinker where the "Waffle pattern" is) but it works awesome.

I have a picture at home....I helped another fellow on the board. I will add it tonight.

I will try explain:

Looking at the side of the mag..at the top. The feed lips come from the back to front straight for about 2/3 of the length (front to back) and then taper down to meet the front (lower then the rear) of the mag. Right where the taper hits the front of the mag you will/may need to hit both left and right sides with a dremmel or file to kinda round the corner. The point that they intersect just need to be moved back ever so slightly. It is just the immideate location.

I tried every mag and out of my 10 mags 3-4 snapped in without modification.

Again....I haven't tried them yet live fire, but they snap in and hand cycle perfect.

I know....I need to get out and shoot.

I've gone through 2 versions of the Pro Mags.  I've had 2 different AR 9mm's, a bushmaster carbon and a Rock River.

The first version didn't feed 40% of the rounds in the Bushy.  I found a second version with a different follower that worked perfectly.

Got rid of the Bushy 9mm and picked up a Rock River 9mm.  1 new version mag didn't work but the other one did.  Got 4 more Pro Mags and they all worked flawlessly!

Best price and service I found for the 9mm Pro Mags so far is Natchez Shooting Supply.  Always in stock and friendly service.
