I asked DPMS this question at a gunshow a couple of months ago. They said to spray down with CLP, use a tooth bruch to scrub off the bolt face and feed ramp, and that is it. He said to not disassemble the bolt. This is just me now, not DPMS.....If you are using a one of their .22 uppers use a cleaning rod with a brush to scrub out the "chamber". There were reports of out of battery firings with extractors being blown off. When I queried DPMS they confirmed this. I told them I was using the cleaning rod brush to scrub the chamber, and he said that was good, as the out of battery problems were happening because of dirty chambers. Hope this helps! Brad |
