OK, my other two projects are coming to a close, so my next project is getting my RRA AR to run 9mm. My RRA is an M4gery with a two-stage trigger direct from RRA. After reading the tac'd faq, I have decided I want to run the Oly system. Also, when I bought this rifle about three years ago, I was told that I could not run any pistol caliber uppers because of the two stage trigger. Is that true? If so, do I need to replace the entire trigger group? Also, I want to be able to swap uppers, install block, and mag and be ready to roll. I really don't want to have separate lowers for different calibers. Is this possible? Sorry for all the questions. I'm sure these have been answered many times, but unfortunately the search function only goes back 30 days. |
| With the Oly 9mm upper, you will be able to swap uppers, put in mag block and sten mags and rock-and-roll. Not sure about 2 stage trigger, I do know that a regular AR trigger will work with the Oly upper though. Hope that helps you. BTW, just got my Oly 9mm upper completed last night. I was going to just go with one lower and swap uppers, but got a helluva good deal on a stripped lower last weekend at a local gunshow and built a complete lower for my Oly 9mm for about $160.00 so couldn't pass that up. |

nugentgl, I would call Olympic and ask about two stage triggers. From what I have heard, they will work with 2 stage and a regular hammer, but I can't say for sure. However, Olympic can. ![]() I ended up going with a RRA 9mm upper because I really trust their products. But, I have a dedicated lower for mine, the 9mm hammer and single stage trigger were assembled by me on a stripped lower. |
