I am not certain if others have experienced this problem  I have a flat top RRA upper in 9mm.  I purchased a LaRue EoTech mount for my EoTech 551.  When I went to mount the set-up, the case deflector prevented the LaRue from sitting fully on the top rail.  The same is true for just the EoTech (w/o the LaRue). The mount works perfect on 5.56 uppers with the smaller case deflector.  Do I sand off the top part?  Anyone have this problem and a good fix?  Thanks, Mark

Yes, the deflector will interfere with a Eotech.
I mounted mine forward of the 9mm deflector, but you can remove some material from the top of it to clear, shouldn't take much.

I shaved off the top of the plastic 9mm deflector with a file.  Looks great and my eotech 552 now sits flat.
