| Yep. Olympic makes it. I have one on order for a 45 upper I'm building. The guy told me they were bigger than normal, kind of the size of a Vortex, but in the "A1" style (slots all around). The thread pitch is 5/8 x 24tpi. I'll post pics when I get mine, in about 2 weeks. |

| I can't post a pic (upper is at gunsmith having an integral sound suppressor installed) but you may want to see one before buying. They are fairly rough looking. Sort of like a piece of tubing with the slots just stamped out. I don't know how effective they are, I never fired mine in low light conditions. You may be able to find a better looking after market version. I think I saw that vortex was making one for the 458 SOCUM uppper with the same threads (not sure if it would work). |
As promised, here are the pics of the Oly 45ACP flash suppressor. They're not terrible, a little longer than an A2 flash hider, but certainly shorter than a 7.62x51 Vortex. 3 pics below, of the side, top and bottom of the Oly hider. A2 on left, Oly in middle, and 7.62x51 Vortex on the right:   I don't have the upper completely built yet, or I'd post pics of it too. I'll post a complete pic once it's finished! Hope this helps. |
