I am just getting into the 9mm set up.  I have a 9mm buffer. It will not fit into the spring I use with my M-16 lower and H-buffer. Will the H buffer work with 9mm on semi? on full? Is there a 9mm spring? Will the 9mm buffer work on .223 with a 11 inch barrel?
Thanks
Chip

Also, will the 9mm set up work with a m-16 hammer with out getting it ramped?

I've used an "H" buffer in the past with my M16 lower with a 9mm upper, ran fine, but  a little quick for my taste.  I now use the AAC rate reducing buffer/spring and find it better suited for me.  Worked great with both 9mm and 5.56 uppers, of which I run a 11.5 inch 5.56 upper, much more control and 100% reliable on using both caliber uppers.

So far I haven't broken a hammer pin in my gun using a standard "un-ramped" 9mm Colt bolt.  If you are worried about breaking a hammer pin, try a SS one, they are only $4.50 each.

I would have the bolt ramped. I dont not like the idea of the bolt hitting the hammer at 90o/o. I use a H buffer for both my 11 1/2 in 9mm upper and my 14 1/4 223 upper. The SS pins are nice but I think that they only cover up a problem. Yes they wont brack as easy but I fell that puts more stress on the pins holes. Having the bolt ramped cut way dowm on my trigger slap. With my bolt being ramped, the H-buffer and a heaver weight in the bolt I have not broke a standard pin in the 4000 plus I have shot. For action sping I just use standard carbine spring.
