Bought the Oly upper way back in the ancient days... you know, August, 2000.
Originally I had it on a DPMS lower, which I sold when I got an Eagle Arms pre-ban lower, which I sold when I realized a colapsing stock wasn't worth $600+ (price for lower).  Got a MK1 Cavarms on Christmas sale, which then became a MK2, but then decided I wanted something different and sold it, getting a DPMS lower again...
Which now has a Magpul stock on it. :)

It has worn the Compact ACOG 3X (triangle) for years as well.

Will change the grip when I get a new one.
Reliability has never faltered through the different lowers and changes.

Sent to ADCO to have the barrel threaded, the diameter reduced under the handguards and the barrel beadblasted.

Then mounted my Gemtech SOS45 on it.

ADCO's work:

Beautiful. Have you considered using the Cav lower and GG mags?

Does the .45 round stay subsonic with a barrel that long???

I had a Mk1 converted to Mk2, but it didn't seem like the GG conversions were happening any time soon. Also, I wanted more stock options.
I'd prefer if someone would come out with a new 45 mag that held the bolt open, rather than trying to tweak old mags.

Dunno, it IS subsonic leaving the can I believe, since I've shot it inside.

I'd like to SBR it down to 11" and get a free float tube to cover all the barrel (and have to front sight).
Between a new upper (A3) and the mods, plus the $200, it's just not worth it for me.
