How do you take the barrel off of a RRA 9mm CAR upper to have it chopped and threaded?
Thanks alot,

Same as an AR15. Are you familiar with that? BTW, the build it yourself forum is probably the best place to ask this, those guys do their own gunsmithing.

Just spin the barrel nut off and slide the barrel out of the uppers' bore.

Of course after you make sure the gun is unloaded and safe...

1. Remove the muzzle device
2. knock the pins out of the front sight
3. slide the front sight off
4. unscrew the barrel nut with an armorer's wrench
5. the barrel nut and delta ring assembly should slide right off over the naked barrel.

I did this with my 9mm, but I never actually removed the barrel. The only tools I used were the YHM barrel nut wrench, punches, hammer, and rubber mallot.
