I just put the gas deflector and half door back onto my 6450. Is the plastic deflector supposed to be loose against the upper receiver? Also, there is a big spring I guess would go into the deflector and against the upper...making a big opening between the two. Is this right? The spring seems like it would rub my upper, and without it the deflector rattles. HELP! |

The spring goes into the lower part of the deflector and holds the upper part of it against your upper. It's there to provide tension and you should see a spring-sized depression in the lower part of the deflector that the spring sits in. It will push against your upper, but any rubbing will be minimal as the spring doesn't move- it just sits there, keeping your deflector nice and tight against your upper receiver. |
