Ok, so Here's the setup:
-Bushmaster lower
-A2 length buffer spring
-Colt plastic A2 buffer
-RRA 9mm trigger
-RRA A4 Upper with fake FH
-New VM Hytech mag block
-Some no-name uzi mag
-100 rnds winchester white bix 9mm (forgot what grain
-Cheap BSA red dot sight

First off, it was freakin' cold today. I wasn't even going to shoot till next weekend, but I couldn't resist. I fired 35 rounds (1 mag) at 15 yards, and the rest of the ammo (65 rounds) at 25 yards. I didn't have any FTEs or FTFs. It performed flawlessly. I fired fairly quick since it was cold, no bump firing, but about 1-2 shots a second. I just wanted to deump ammo and go home.

I did encounter two mag block/magazine related problems. I have to really slam the magazine in hard to get the mag release to catch it, and when I try to release the magazine I have to push really hard on the button. I don't know if this is a magazine problem or a mag block prblem since I only have one uzi magazine. The gun show is next weekend, so I figured I would grab some IMIs if they are cheap enough.

The recoil was a little more than I expected. It was about the same as the Ruger PC4 I used to own. I was expecting something a lot less, but it wasn't uncontrollable or uncomfortable, just more than I expected. I didn't notice any of the trigger slap that was mentioned on the board relating to non-ramped bolts with 9mm hammer. It was really cold, as I already mentioned, so I figure I would have been especially sensitive to it if there was some slap.

Below are pics of my targets and of the magazine I used.

Huh? it's 24 here right now... I'd take sweatshirt temps (50-60) right now. Weather.com says it is 46 at mom & dads in Weeki Wachi.

Look in the Ohio forum, the boys is out playng today after the funshow.

Take care, bundle up.

Thats an aftermarket mag..If your rifle will run with that it'll run with anything.....It's pretty normal for a loaded mag to be hard to get latched in and also normal to have to push hard on the release..It all depends on where the Mag catch is cut in the mag,..Better to be a little high than low,Low causes Feed problems....Congrats,..And oh yes,..We need Pics![:)]........UNDERDOG

It is currently 31 degrees outside. Cold enough for me.
